Can Children Develope Arthritis?

One question you may ask is arthritis a disease? Many know the word but not the definition of waht it means. scientist define arthritis as swelling and inflamation of a joint or a complex of joints do to wear and tear. The most well known form of arthritis is called osteoarthritis or oa. This is a result when the cartilage(padding) of the joint wears out which causes pain and hinders movement. The cartilage keeps the rubbing of the joints and friction at a minimum so there is no pain. Excessive friction between the joints and bones will cause inflamation and begine to swell. A person who lifts constantly can develope osteoarthritis. There are some employers who have workers that lift heavy object for 8 hours a day. Due to the constant lifting it will cause trauma to the knees and back which will eventually cause osteoarthritis.
One common denominator in arthritis is constant joint pain. Intense swelling and pain in one specific area is a sign of acute arthritis.
