Detoxification or body detoxification is touted by many as a means to eradicate “toxins” from the body. The practice stems from the idea that the meal you take comprise a variety of harmful substances, which further accumulate in your body, causing fatigue, nausea, headaches and as well other disease. But there is no proof that this it true or that detox product diets have any health advantage. Any how, many have experienced the best effect of detox through foot and total body detoxification.

Detox diet is best and differs widely. But the basic principle is to momentarily give up some foods, which are thought to contain "toxins," such as meat, sugar, some specific grains, dairy food and especially caffeine. Detox diets naturally start with fasting followed by a very strict diet of consuming raw vegetables, fruit and fruit juices and water. In addition, some detox diets also advice using herbal laxatives, antioxidants and other colon cleansing (enemas) to assist "clean" out the intestine and liver. The duration of such regimens frequently ranges from seven to 10 days.

Some people state that they feel enhanced, "lighter," and more focused and lively during and after detox diets. This might be due to their belief that they are doing great good thing for their body. But it might as well be due to not eating much — if anything — for more than some days. Calorie limit could lead to sharp feelings of psychological happiness.

However, there is no proof that detox diets in face eradicate toxins from the body. Most toxins in the body are extremely efficiently and successfully removed by the kidneys and liver and excreted by way of urine and stool. Early side effects of fasting as well include headaches. Prolonged fasting or harsh calorie limitation could result in anemia, low blood sugar and unbalanced heartbeat. Before going on a fast or detox diet, it is better talking to your doctor.

The most excellent diet is one based on fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean sources of protein and other unsaturated fats. Add normal exercise and stress lessening techniques, and you have a solid foundation for good health.
